About Us
We have been inspired by the unparalleled beauty (pictured below) in our region to create not only art, but a better version of retail, and our shopping habits at large. Not because it would make us a lot of money (probably not) but because it would facilitate a more-intentional, more-circular economy, in order to protect the natural resources we have inherited.

Our Company: Founded by an environmental scientist and artist, Figac & Company was built to prove that commerce doesn’t have to come at the expense of the natural world. We curate durable, intentionally made goods from vendors in the Great Lakes, Ohio Valley, and Appalachia.
Right now, I’m the sole member, but I’m working hard to expand into a company that respects its workers as much as their customers, AND THEN SOME.

By keeping our supply chains regional, we reduce shipping impacts, lower our carbon footprint, and ensure your dollars stay in the pockets of the local artisans and makers who share our backyard.
Rugged Luxury, Responsibly Made: We believe in a circular economy. You shouldn’t have to compromise on quality or aesthetics to live sustainably. Our marketplace is a heavily curated selection of small-batch goods made from natural, long-lasting materials. We partner with makers who prioritize their waste streams and build products designed to be used, repaired, and passed down; not thrown away. “Sustainability” isn’t a marketing buzzword here; it is the baseline requirement for any product that makes it onto our shelves.

When you invest in products from Figac & Company, you are actively funding a better future. The revenue generated from our localized, low-impact supply chain is channeled directly back into our environment, providing the tools and information that help regular everyday people by better and more guilt-free.
You handle the investment in durable, responsible goods. We handle the logistics of ensuring every purchase helps regenerate the habitat around us.

What “sustainable” means here
We embrace our imperfections and focus on practical choices that meaningfully reduce impact: fewer, superior items; transparent sourcing; and thoughtfully designed packaging that reflects the excellence of the product inside. When you shop Figac & Co., you’re championing real artisans, not billionaires. We don’t play the conventional marketing game; our company is rooted in authentic, handcrafted products.
Our impact, built into the curation
Four ways we keep the bar high. So your gifts last longer, travel lighter, and support local economies.

Durability first
We favor materials and construction that hold up to daily use because the greenest product is the one you don’t replace.

Small-batch + local artisans
We are working on a cutting edge logistics network for local vendors to revitalize the ‘Mom & Pop’ business model and rebuild communities

Lower-waste packaging
We encourage plastic-free, recyclable, or reusable packaging whenever possible, even right down to the fill and tape!

Ethical materials
Natural fibers, responsibly sourced ingredients, and reclaimed or recycled inputs, all chosen for performance and footprint. We aren’t delusional about recycling either, and take our decisions so seriously, we put a suggestions page up for you to rake us over the coals, whenever we need it.
